Jammers Get Two From Williamsport

- Jammers defeat Williamsport 7-3:
Ricky Orton capped another Jamestown rally
with an 8th inning grand slam, propelling
the Jammers to a 7-3 win at Diethrick
Park. Orton also struck in the 1st inning
with an RBI double, giving himself five RBI
on the night. Sequoyah Stonecipher added
another RBI when he walked with the bases
loaded in the 8th inning.

- Jammers defeat Williamsport 4-3:
The Jammers defeated Williamsport 4-3 on a
walk-off single by shortstop Jose Torres.
The squad entered the ninth inning trailing
3-1, and thanks to a two-run
double by Mike Pasek, tied the game at
3-all.
Hard Luck Jammers

- Williamsport defeats Jammers 1-0:
The Jammers lost another hard luck decision,
1-0, in 10 innings. Anthony Hewitt's
10th inning solo home run to center field
off of Wilson Matos proved to be the
decisive blow against Jamestown, who despite
a well played game were unable to push a run
across. Josh Roberts performed well in
his first start for Jamestown, throwing five
innings of shut out basball.Rand Smith and
Taylor Krick paced the Jammers attack with
two base hits apiece.
Masterful Montgomery
6/29 - The Jammers defeated Auburn 9-0:
Matt Montgomery was once again masterful on
the mound for the Jammers, throwing four
shutout innings, allowing one hit and
striking out two. New Jammer Erick
Carrillo threw two scoreless innings to earn
his first professional win. The team
was led offensively by Chase Austin, who put
together a solid 4-for-5 day at the plate.
Sequoyah Stonecipher added three hits for
the squad, while Ricky Orton had his first
home run and 3 RBI.
Mahoney Gets 2nd Straight Loss
6/26 - Batavia defeated the Jammers 9-2:
Dan Mahoney took his
second straight loss on the hill for the
Jammers, allowing three runs on three hits
in 3.2 innings. Skyler Crawford
spelled him in the 4th, allowing three
earned runs on six hits in 2.1 innings.
The Jammers as a whole managed only two runs
on three hits. Kyle Jensen had two of
those hits for Jamestown, while Jose Torres
recorded his first base hit of the season.
Jamestown
Gets Second
Win
6/26 - The Jammers defeated Batavia 3-2:
The Jammers picked up
their second win of the season with a 3-2
victory at Batavia on Friday night.
Jose Ceballos drove in two runs for the
Jammers, while Zach Moore, Sequoyah
Stonecipher, Kyle Jensen and Erik Kanaby all
added base hits for Jamestown.
Arquimedes Caminero picked up his first win,
tossing two innings of shutout baseball,
allowing two hits and striking out four.
Wilson Matos pitched a scoreless third of
the 9th inning to earn his first save.
Jamestown vs Batavia Suspended
6/25 - Batavia is up over the Jammers
5-1:
This game has been suspended in the bottom
of the 3rd inning. Will resume as part
of a doubleheader next Thursday night, July
2, and 6:05 p.m.

Falls To 1-5 On The Year
6/23 - Auburn defeated the Jammers 9-4:
With tonight's loss,
the Jammers fell to 1-5 on the season.
Starter Curtis Petersen struggled on the
mound, allowing six earned runs on seven
hits in 2.1 innings. Rand Smith, Mike
Brady, Kyle Jensen and Sequoyah Stonecipher
all contributed two hit games in defeat.
The Jammers return to action against Batavia
tomorrow with Reality Check Night at 7:05.

Win First Game
6/23 - The Jammers defeated Auburn 7-0:
Jammers first baseman Ricky Orton went 2 for
3 with 2 RBI and a run scored in his first
game in Jamestown since he played as a
teenager in the Babe Ruth World Series.
Designated hitter Kyle Jensen added 2 hits
and 2 runs scored, while Mike Pasek
contributed a hit and 2 RBI. Matt
Montgomery was stellar on the mound in his
first pro appearance for the Jammers,
allowing no runs on 3 hits over 5 innings,
striking out 2. Chris Shafer shined in
relief, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5
in his 2 innings of work. Catcher Jack
Murphy led the Doubledays with 2 base hits,
one of which was a double. Center
fielder Eric Eiland also had a hit, and
reached base on a walk. Stater Matt
Morgal struggled on the hill, allowing 4
earned runs on 2 hits in 3 innings in his
first career start.

Drop 3-1 Decision To Auburn
6/22 - Auburn defeated The Jammers 3-1:
The Jamestown Jammers have fallen to 0-4 on
the season after falling to the Auburn
Doubledays 3-1 in the 2009 home opener.
4th round pick Dan Mahoney earned his first
loss in his first pro start, tossing three
innings of three-hit ball with two runs
allowed. Skyler Crawford, a Jammer
last year, allowed a home run facing his
first hitter, then proceeded to throw four
no-hit innings with four strikeouts.
Auburn starter Evan Crawford was sharp in
his season debut, tossing five innings of
two-hit ball, allowing one run, and striking
out three. Randy Schwartz and Jack
Murphy each hit crucial home runs to left
field for Auburn, who picked up its first
win in three tries. The Jammers were
limited to only two hits, one by lead off
man Zach Moore and DH Chad Cregar, but could
never manage to get runners into scoring
position. These two teams will resume
this series tomorrow night, as Jamestown's
Matt Montgomery will make his pro debut
against Matt Morgal at 7:05 p.m., as part of
Southwestern Area Youth Baseball night at
Diethrick Park.
