  Jamestown Jammers - Fireworks Return

Jammers Fireworks Information

June 2, 2008- The Jamestown Jammers are proud to announce a return to thefan favorite fireworks shows of old in 2008.

The Jammers will bring back the popular fireworks shows beginning with Opening Night to the 2008 New York-Penn League season, Tuesday, June 17 against State College. The June 17 game will mark the first of 38 Jammers home games at Diethrick Park and has first pitched scheduled for 7:05 p.m.  Fireworks will immediately follow the conclusion of the game.

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets for Opening Night in advance as they are going quickly.  Due to construction to dorms on the Jamestown Community College campus, the Jammers were unable to fire the firework shells from behind the stadium in 2007.  Thanks to cooperation from local officials, the fireworks will once again be fired with high-flying mortar shells from Stadium Hill to give fans the spectacular fireworks show they've grown accustomed to seeing at Diethrick Park.

"We're thrilled to bring back the fireworks shows of old that everyone enjoyed watching at Diethrick Park in the past," Jammers General Manager Matt Drayer said. "We are greatful for the cooperation of the local officials which will bring our fans the type of show they've been clamoring to see in 2008."

Full ticket and promotional information can be found by visiting www.jamestownjammers.com or calling 664-0915.
