10/25
- Fredonia defeated Southside 22-8: Fredonia came out
hitting hard on offense, with Nick Johnston, Weston Ley and Cameron
Voss each scoring a TD, while Hunter Halberg and Dylan Meyer each
added extra points for the Billies. The Fredonia defense
played tough once again with Alex Lopez, Tyler DiRusso and Nick
Formanowicz leading the way. Michael Pucci also contributed
knocking down a pass and intercepting one. Southside fought
and hit hard the whole game. Devin Kent scored a TD, while
Jonathan Healey added an extra point. With the win the
Fredonia Hillbillies finish the year undefeated(8-0) and win the
Jamestown Midget Football League Championship!
10/18 - Southside defeated Dunkirk 14-6:
Devin Kent,Mitchell Liuzzo led a balance
attack for the undefeated Southside
Bluedevils 7-0. Devin Kent had 150 yards
rushing and 1 touchdown.Mitchell Liuzzo
connected to Steve Nowell on a 65 yard
touchdown passing play. Nowell finished with
a 105 yard reciving day and 1 touchdown.
Liuzzo also connected with Michael Woods on
an extra point play. Devin Kent also had 8
tackles on defense he was assisted on
defense by Kevin Mosley with 7 tackles. Matt
Nazzaro had a key late interception that
sealed the victory. Dunkirk was led by
Miguel Fred 145 yards and a touchdown and
Zach Torain with 12 tackles respectively.
10/11 - Southside defeated Falconer 26-7:
Behind a balanced rushing attack the
Southside Bluedevils amased over 400 yards
rushing.Led by Damien Jackson, Cody Lange,
Jacob McBride, Maiker Anderson, and Erik
Tingue. Southside improves to 6-0 and Co
League Regular Season Champs were led on
defense by Devin Kent, and Andrew Caldwell
with 7 tackles a piece. John Healy also had
an interception. Falconer was led by Jacob
Youngberg on both sides of the ball.

10/4 - Southside defeated Southwestern
34-13: Southside Blue Devils are
now 5-0 thanks to a stellar performance from
Devin Kent's 10 carries for 205 yds and 2
touchdowns. Andrew (ac) Caldwell also
had 50yds, a touchdown and an extra point.
Mitch Liuzzo had a extra point pass to
Michael Woods. The defense was led by
Joe Mahoney and Nick Christodoulou with 6
solo tackles a piece. Kyle Liuzzo had
a late rushing touchdown to go with his 2
interceptions at corner. Jake Sisson
led the Southwestern Spartans on both sides
of the ball.
9/27
- Southside defeated Northside 19-6: The battle for the
city championship was on the line at Strider Field Saturday
afternoon as the Southside Blue Devils defeated the Northside
Warriors 19-6. The offensive line for the Blue Devils consisting of
Jacob Mcbride, Maiker Anderson, Damien Jackson, Cody Lange, and Erik
Tingue paved the way for an aeriel and ground attack. Steve Nowell
had 3 catches for 72 yards including a 21 yard touchdown reception
from Mitch Liuzzo. Southside amassed over 200 yards rushing by
committee. Mike Gustafson, Andrew Caldwell, Karee Rizzo-Walker, and
Devin Kent shared the carries. Kent broke free for a 50 yard
touchdown run and Caldwell ran in the extra point. Liuzzo also
scored on a 1 yard quarterback sneak. Kyle Liuzzo and Kevin Mosely
led the Southside defense with 6 tackles each. Joey Mahoney had a
quarterback sack and forced a fumble. David Silliman also played
stellar pass defense in the secondary. For the Warriors, Jake
Johnson, Connor Stam, and Harrison Tyra led the way for the
Northside defense. On offense, Brandon Johnson rushed for a tough 65
yards and Ben Larson hooked up with Steve Carlson on a 12 yard
touchdown pass as time expired to end the game.

9/20
- Southside defeated Frewsburg 20-12: The Southside Blue
Devils upped their record to 3-0 as they defeated the Frewsburg
Bears 20-12 at Strider Field. Devin Kent led the Southside running
attack with 101 yards. Andrew Caldwell and Mike Gustafson pitched in
with 65 and 58 yards respectively. Kent opened the scoring with a 41
yard touchdown run. On the next possession, Caldwell broke free into
the secondary and 50 yards later he found himself in the endzone as
well. Mitch Liuzzo then bulled his way up the middle to score from 4
yards out and then hit Jonathan Healy with the 2 point conversion
pass to end the scoring. Kevin Mosely, Caldwell, and Gustafson each
had 7 tackles for the Southside defense. Healy also intercepted a
pass on the Bears final drive to ice the game for the Blue Devils.
Frewsburg was paced by the play of Nick Long. He ran for 69 yards,
scored on a 1 yard plunge, and made 11 tackles on defense. He also
connected on 68 yard touchdown bomb to Bryce Peterson. The
Bears defense was led by Colin Anderson, Zack Haller, and Dylan Omby
who had 6 tackles each. Derek Smith also intercepted a pass at the
goa line to halt a Southside drive as well.
9/13
- Southside defeated Cassadaga 13-7:
In the rain and
on wet field conditions, Andrew Caldwell ran for 150 yards and
scored on a 10 yard run. Karee-Rizzo-Walker also had a touchdown run
of 24 yards for the Blue Devils. Mitch Liuzzo called his own number
and ran in the point after coversion to round out the scoring for
Southside. Eric Tingue,Steve Nowell,Joey Mahoney and Mike Gustafson
anchored the defensive line for the Blue Devils.For Cassadaga, they
brought out the "statue of liberty" out of the playbook. Jordan
Crabtree scored on a 80 yard run as well as ripped of another 50
yarder on the well executed play.On defense the Cougars were led by
Nick Peterson and Chris Ellis.
8/30 -
Southside defeated Westside 12-0:
A well balanced running attack and solid defense led the
Southside Blue Devils over the Westside Panthers 12-0 Saturday
afternoon at Strider Field. Michael Gustafson rushed for 90
yards and scored on a 1-yard run. Karee Rizzo-Walker ran for 60
yards and hit paydirt on a 14-yard scamper to round out the
scoring in the first half. Matt Nazzaro chipped in with 48 yards
rushing on just 6 carries. The Blue Devil defense was led by
Andrew Caldwell and Kyle Liuzzo with 6 tackles each. Gustafson
chipped in with 5 tackles as well. Southside also had key fumble
recoveries by Jonathan Healy, Devin Kent and Jacob Mcbride.
Westside was led on the ground by Matt Hoagland. Damien Taylor
and Hunter Peterson were standouts for the Panther defense with
6.5 and 5.5 tackles respectively.
