Awards Banquet Information:  2008 Spartan Football Awards Banquet will be held Monday, November 10th at 6pm at the Celoron Legion. Prepaid reservations are a MUST and can be made with Joni, Marge or Kristin before October 18th.  Players and cheerleaders are free, Adults $13 and brothers and sisters are $10 each.  Cash or checks made payable to Southwestern Spartans.

10/11 - Fredonia defeated Southwestern 38-18:  Fredonia ends the regular season with a win and will enter the playoffs starting next Saturday, (10/18/08) undefeated. With the offense coming together in a big way, Fredonia scored five TDs.  Southwestern played well scoring 3 TDs of their own.  Both defenses played hard.

10/4 - Southside defeated Southwestern 34-13:  Southside Blue Devils are now 5-0 thanks to a stellar performance from Devin Kent's 10 carries for 205 yds and 2 touchdowns.  Andrew (ac) Caldwell also had 50yds, a touchdown and an extra point. Mitch Liuzzo had a extra point pass to Michael Woods.  The defense was led by Joe Mahoney and Nick Christodoulou with 6 solo tackles a piece.  Kyle Liuzzo had a late rushing touchdown to go with his 2 interceptions at corner.  Jake Sisson led the Southwestern Spartans on both sides of the ball.

9/13 - Northside Varsity defeated Southwestern 20-6:  Northside's Branden Johnson had 12 Carries for 101 yards and a 10 yard touch down. Ben Larson had 15 carries for 148 yards and a touch down. Steven Carlson extra point to Jacob Johnson was good. Steven also added with a touch down. Defensively the warriors, were led by Tyra Harrison with 12 Tackels. Levi Smith added 6 and Tyrell Johnson, Ben Larson each with 5. Zach Panebianco had a Interception. For Southwestern, Jake Sisson scored in the last second. 

9/6 - Cassadaga defeated Southwestern 20-6

8/30 - Frewsburg defeated Southwestern 6-0:  Frewsburg scored on a 5 yd run by Nick Long to make it 6-0 extra point failed.  Derek Smith had 97 yds on 10 carries.  Long had 56 yds on 11 carries.  Defensively for the Bears, Long had 8 tackles.  Zach Haller had 8 tackles and Caleb Eckman had 8 tackles.  For the Spartans Jake Sission rushed for 74 yds on 14 carries.  Defensively for the Spartans Sission had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery.  Billy Johnston had 9 tackles.  Emma Blasius had a fumble recovery.
