Adam Gullo Closes In On Zac
Kinsey of Northside

10/25 - Northside JVs defeated Westside
JVs 31-20: The JV Northside
Warriors won the Midget Football
Championship by defeating the Westside
Pathers 31-20. Behind a solid offensive
line anchored by Donovan Carvahlo and Xavier
Sommerville, Zac Kinsey piled up 228 yards
and 3 touchdowns, and James "Cookie" Rohas
contributed 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. The
story of the game however, was the Northside
defense, which managed to keep Westside's
high powered offense in check. Tyler
Coulter led again with 9 tackles. Jovian
Maisonet, Alex Shoup, Tommy Wofford, Richard
Williams, and Bannon Eimiller rounded out
the solid performance. Graham Davis
led Westside's offense with 2 touchdowns and
125 yards rushing on 20 carries.
Defensively for the Panthers Adam Gullo led
the way with several tackles.
10/18
- Westside JVs defeated Dunkirk JVs 20-6:
On a
beautiful fall day the Westside Panthers JV football team moved to
the Jamfl championship game; by beating the Dunkirk Maruaders JV
20-6. The ground attack was on point with the offensive line
pushing back a great Dunkirk defensive line. Leading through those
holes was Derek Anderson and Matthew Lombardo with Lombardo picking
up some key first downs. Graham Davis was the highlight of the
day with some long runs and accumulating 171 yds and 2 TDs rushing.
Davis was also on the receiving end of a Carson Peters pass for a 26
yd TD; peters threw for 46 yds on the day. Westside's Defense
was feeling alive sparked by Adam Gullo's 9 tackles most for a loss
, Tyler Manelik had some nice tackles collecting 6 in total and
Korbyn Nelson picked up his 4th int of the season.
Dunkirk defense played tough; Zach Ippolito, Isaiah Thomas and Evan
Hernandez for the D-line while Jeremy Lockett, Teagan Raynor and
Timothy Cerrie played hard at the second level. The offense was led
by Shane Martinez's one touchdown and Devante Grayson running
attack.
The championship will be #1 Westside 7-0 vs #2
Northside 6-1 on 10.25.08.
10/4 - Westside JVs defeated Dunkirk JVs
25-7: The Westside Panthers go
unbeaten during regular season play and
clinch division title beating the Dunkirk
Marauders 25-7. The offensive line,
end to end, paved the way for the Westside
Panthers Graham Davis who carried the ball
just 14 times and ran for 314 yards and 3
touchdowns and an extra point. Matthew
Lombardo and Derek Anderson were sealing the
deal on the second level for Davis; with
Lombardo scoring the other offensive TD.
The Panthers defense played well holding the
Marauders to only one score. Corbin
Nelson was head of the pack with 8 tackles
and a interception. Nicholas Bigney,
Dakota McIntyre, and Adam Gullo all had good
days recording 7 tackles each. The
defensive standout for Dunkirk was #27
Thomas who had an impressive day.
9/27 - Westside JVs defeated Frewsburg
JVs 20-0: The Westside Panthers
cruised to their third straight shutout with
a 20-0 victory over the Frewsburg Bears.
Graham Davis led the way for the Panthers
offense with 142 yds and 2 T.D.s. with those
yards and touchdowns, Davis passes the 1000
yard mark on the season and has 18
touchdowns on the year with one game to go
in the regular season. Also scoring for the
panthers was Matthew Lombardo with a nice
39yd run for a T.D. Carson Peters and Andrew
Latona chipped in with a throw and catch 2
point P.A.T . J.T. Mcintire paced the
defense with 6 tackles followed by Adam
Phillips with 5 and Adam Gullo with 3tckls
and 4 assists. Corbin Nelson and
Graham Davis pitched in with an interception
a piece. Westsides record moves to 5-0
with their next game at home against
Dunkirk.
9/20 Westside JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs
55-0: The Westside Panthers
steamrolled Cassadaga to their second
straight shutout in as many weeks winning
55-0. Leading the way on offense was
Graham Davis ; who had 2 carries for 113 yds
2TDs and a 46 yd TD reception. Tyler
Manelick was also a 100 yd rusher with 111
yds and a TD. Korbyn Nelson ran for 80 yds
and a TD. Derek Anderson had a nice 25yd
jaunt to set up his 1yd Td ;he also threw a
Pat to Steven Brombacher who had 2 PAT
receptions in the game. Quarterback
Carson Peters was 2-3 through the air with
65yds 1 td and 2PATs. One of those PATs was
caught by Andrew Latona who also had a good
18 yd reception . Adam Gullo capped off the
scoring with a TD and PAT run. On
defense the standout was Dillion Glatz who
had 5 tackles 3 assists and 2 sacks. Graham
Davis had a INT for a TD ; and Nicholas
Bigney had 3 tackles and a forced fumble.
This win brings Westsides J.V. record to
4-0. Westside travels to Frewsburg for their
next game.
9/13 - Westside JVs defeated Fredonia JVs
14-0: The Westside Panthers
shutout the Fredonia Hillbillies 14-0.
Westside was led by their defense on a rainy
Saturday. Adam Gullo and Dakota
Mcintyre led with tackles with Gullo and
Tyler Phanco recovering fumbles.
Carson Peters and Derek Anderson combined
for 60 yds passing. Andrew Latona had
35 yds receiving with a PAT and Graham Davis
carried the ball for 125yds 2 TDs and had 25
yds receiving. With this win, the
Panthers record goes to 3-0 on the season
with their next game away against Cassadaga.
9/6
- Westside defeated Northside 26-25:
The Westside Panthers Jvs squeaked by with
another close win defeating the Northside
Warriors Jvs 26-25. Led by another
great performance by Graham Davis on the
ground. Davis carried the ball 14 times for
253 yds and scored 4 tds.Quarter back Carson
Peters was 5-5 through the air for 30 yds
and a pat. Andrew Latona caught the pat.
Defense was led by Dakota Mcintyre with 12
solo tackles and Adam Gullo recording 7.5
tackles and a forced fumble ,Adam Philips
also had a forced fumble. James Rojas
and Zacc Kinsey led the Warriors offense
both with 2 tds, and Bannon Eimiller was
their defensive standout.
8/30 - Westside defeated Southside 46-44:
This was a hard fought game by both teams,
with Westside coming out as the victors. Led
by the brilliant running of Graham Davis who
had over 400 yards rushing 65 yards
receiving 6 TDs on the ground and 1 TD
through the air. Quarterback Carson Peters
threw for 75 yards 1 TD, 1 PAT and also had
a 35 yard run. Fullback Adam Gullo had
2 PAT's and Andrew Latona caught the game
deciding PAT. Devin Jackson was the
leading scorer for Southside with 4 TDs.
Westside's next game is at home against
Northside.
