East Aurora - STAR Swimming traveled to East Aurora High School for the Kiwanis/EAST Swim Meet on November 6, 2011. Several swimmers from all age groups achieved personal bests with Skye Smith placing 3rd in 100 Breast and 200 IM. Xiane Smith placed 3rd in 100 Breast.

Eden - Five young swimmers competed at the NISL/Eden Swim Meet at Eden High School October 11, 2011. Claire Pumford placed 1st in 100 IM, 100 Back, and 50 Fly and 2nd in 50 Breast. Christian Pumford placed 1st in 25 Back. Claire Baker placed 2nd in 100 IM. Claire Baker, Claire Pumford and Cooper Thomas posted personal bests in their events.

 

Buffalo - Seven STAR swimmers competed at the ECC KATS Meet October 14-16 in their first meet of the 2011-2012 season. Twelve year old Sydney Burk posted "AA" times in the 50 Free for 1st place, 100 Back for 2nd place and 100 IM for 1st place. She also posted an "A" time for 50 Breast capturing 1st place. Emily Bauer posted a "BB" time as the lead-off in the 200 Medley Relay. Other top finishes were placed by Makenna Graham in 200 Back - 3rd and by Claire Pumford 50 Fly - 2nd. Many others posted personal best times in one or more of their events......

The STAR Swim Team had it's awards banquet recently to close out the 2010/11 season. 

On January 13th, seven local STAR swimmers travelled to Indianapolis to participate in the 2011 Indiana CSC Dollar/Thrifty Winter Invitational, held at the University of Indiana Natatorium at IUPUI. They all had great swims with two making finals: Lauren Caldwell and Xiane Smith. Many personal best times were achieved by all. Following are the results.

Eight swimmers from STAR traveled to the Burt Flickinger Center, December 9-12, 2009 for the STAR Short Course Invitational. Swimmers posted personal best times in one or more of their events. Xiane Smith had strong performances in her Freestyle races, placing 10th and 11th in the 100 and 50 Free races of the 11-12 girls. Lauren Caldwell finished 11th in both the 200 Breast and 200 IM races.

STAR Swimming’s Xiane Smith achieved seven personal best times at the STAR Short Course Invitational held Dec. 10-12 at Erie Community College.

Swimmers from as far away as Michigan, New Jersey and Canada participated in the event, which drew eight swimmers from STAR Swimming. To take part in the meet, swimmers had to meet time qualifications.
