The top 8 in each track and field event participated in this year's Super 8 Championship held in Salamanca, NY. Times and distances are recorded all year and the top 8 participate to determine the top performer in each event. This year is the 22nd year of the event that is held each year in Salamanca. The meet is orchestrated by Lori John, head track coach at Salamanca High School. David Reinhardt of the Chautauqua Striders helps John with the tracking of times leading up to the event. Reinhardt heads the talented team of Chautauqua Striders Timing Services that handles the FAT timing and meet management for the meet.
Every year Falconer holds their invitational at the track that surrounds Bill Race Field in Falconer. This year just happen to be the 10th anniversary of the invitational that Falconer coach Dave Nelson has been so instrumental in arranging.
