1/16/10 - Randolph Wrestling Tournament:  9 Southwestern Youth wrestlers placed at the Randolph Wrestling Tournament.  1st Place Winners:  Chase Stevenson 9-10 55/60#,  Shane Hetrick 9-10 65#,  Mason Hoose 9-10 HWT,  Ryan Hetrick 11-12 80#.  2nd Place Finishers:  Marcus Kautzman 7-8 45/50#.  3rd Place Finishers:  Garrett Swan 6 & under 45#, Nathan Priester 11-12 70/75#, Michael Raynor 11-12 85#, Brian Westerdahl 11-12 90/95#.

1/9/10 - Salamanca Winter Warmup:  7 Southwestern youth wrestlers competed at Salmanca Winter Warmup.  5 placed as follows:  Marcus Kautzman 3rd  7-8 45#, Shane Hetrick 4th 9-10 65#, Ryan Hetrick 1st 11-12 80#, Michael Raynor 4th 11-12 85#, and Brian Westerdahl 2nd 11-12 95#.

12/6/09 - Southwestern Youth Wrestling at Frewsburg Novice Tournament:  Southwestern Youth Wrestling had 16 kids participate in the Frewsburg Novice Tournament on Sunday December 6th. Nick Swan captured 1 win in the 4 year old division.  In the 5 and 6 year old division, Jack Harding, Jack Swan, Joseph Pierce and Ben Bailey had 1 win each.  Simon Pirello, Garret Swan and Nathan Johnson each had 2 wins.  In the 7 and 8 yer old division, Luca Barone had 1 win while Charles Bailey and Seth Bennett each registered 2 wins.  In the 9 and 10 year old division, Nate Barone had 1 win and Devyn Chase had 2 wins. Great job by all.

Registration Sign Ups Announced:  2009-2010 Southwestern Youth Wrestling Sign-ups will be held on Tuesday 11/10/09 & Thursday 11/12/09 from 6-8p.m. outside of the high school wrestling room. 

All students ages 5-12 as of 1/1/10 are eligible as well as Middle School students after the Middle School season ends in December 

Cost is $25 and includes a t-shirt, insurance and end-of-year banquet.  

Practice will begin on Monday 11/16/09 from 6:30-8p.m. for all wrestlers during the first week to learn the rules and team warm-ups.
