6/26 - Orioles defeated the Red Sox 5-4:  The Shults Chevrolet Orioles completed a perfect season defeating the Vavala Concrete Red Sox in a thrilling game 5-4 to take The SWAS Minor League Championship. The Red Sox got out of a bases loaded jam in the 1st inning then jumpeed out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 3rd. Singles by Chase Stevenson and Cody Dallas got things going for The Sox and Luke Heil scored them both with a smash up the middle. The Birds answered right back scoring 5 in the bottom half of the 3rd. A two out single by Jake Ferrari, walks to Cole Snyder and Ryan Joslyn loaded the bases. Tristen Frye beat out an infield single and Andrew Bernard doubled down the rightfield line to complete the scoring. In the 5th The Sox cut the lead to 5-4 with a Luke Heil 2 run double. In the 6th Jack Brinkley walked with 2 outs and Ben Brooks blasted a double but a hustling Jake Ferrari got the ball in quick to hold the runners at 2nd and 3rd. Ryan Joslyn struck out the last batter to seal the game for The Orioles. Ferrari, Snyder, Frye, Bernard, Mitch Pascarella and Thomas Kosinski all had hits for The Orioles. Luke Heil had 2 hits, Stevenson, Dallas, Brooks and Nate Barone had hits for The Sox. Cole Snyder 3IP/5K's, Jake Ferrari 2IP/1K and Ryan Joslyn 1IP/3K's shared the win on the mound, Brian Burns 3IP/8K's and Luke Heil 2IP/4K's shared the duty for The Sox. Congratulations to both teams on a great Championship Game.

6/14 - Orioles defeated the Red Sox 5-2:  The Shults Chevrolet Orioles completed a perfect 12-0 regular season defeating The Vavala Concrete Red Sox 5-2 at LaGrega Field Monday night. The game was very well played by both teams and remained tied 2-2 going into the bottom of the 5th inning. Walks to Jake Lloyd and Jake Ferrari and a runscoring single by Cole Snyder put the Orioles ahead 3-2 and Ryan Joslyn struck out the side to seal the game for the Orioles. Snyder ended up 2-3 with a double and Tristen Frye banged out a single for the birds. Luke Heil and Dalton Goldberg each belted doubles, Nate Barone singled and Jake Vavala had a run scoring triple for the Sox hits. Cole Snyder 3IP, 0BB's, 5K's; Jake Ferrari 2IP, 0BB's, 3K's and Ryan Joslyn 1IP, 0BB's and 3K's earned the victory on the mound. Luke Heil, Brian Burns and Cody Dallas shared the mound duties for the Sox striking out 11 along the way.

6/2 - Orioles defeated the Red Sox 18-10:  The Vavala Concrete Red Sox jumped out to an early 7-0 lead but The Shults Chevrolet Orioles outscored them 18-3 the rest of the way to claim an 18-10 victory. Jake Ferrari had 3 hits with a double an triple, Tristen Frye and Andrew Bernard both chipped in with 2 hits each with Frye double and tripleing. Ryan Joslyn and Cole Snyder added doubles for the Orioles. The Red Sox were led by Cody Dallas and Brian Burns who both had 3 hits and Luke Heil 2 hits which included an inside the park homerun. Ferrari, Snyder and closer R. Joslyn shared the mound duties for the O's striking out 11. Burns, Heil and Dallas split the duties for the Sox striking out 9 Orioles in defeat.

5/24 - A's defeated the Red Sox 15-4:  The Jock Shop A's defeated the Vavala Concrete Red Sox 15-4 last week.  For the winning team, Shane Hetrick and Anthony Frangione had a pair of hits.  Tim Harris, Chris Johnson and Casey Williams helped the A's defensively.  While Frangione and Hetrick each pitched 3 innings.   For the Red Sox, Burns and Brinkley each had doubles and Brooks hit a single.  Stevenson, Dallas, Hile and Goldberg shared the pitching duties. 

5/20 - Orioles defeated the Red Sox 6-3:  The Shults Chevrolet Orioles earned a hard faught victory over The Vavala Concrete Red Sox 6-3 Thursday night. The Orioles were led by the 2 hit performances of Jake Ferrari and Cole Snyder. Ryan Joslyn and Zach Johnson singled as well. On the mound Ferrari, Snyder, Tristen Frye and Joslyn held The Sox to 3 runs on 7 hits, while Mitchell Pascarella shined in the field. The Red Sox got on the board first with a 2 run double from Brian Burns. Luke Heil contributed with 2 hits and C.Dallas, D.Goldberg, J.Vavala and B.Brooks singled as well. Heil, Burns and Cody Dallas kept things close allowing only 6 Orioles hits.

5/12 - Red Sox defeated the A's 5-2:  The Vavala Concrete Red Sox defeated the Jock Shop A's on Wed night at LaGrega field. For the Red Sox Cody Dallas had 2 singles & 2 runs, Luke Heil had a single & a run, Brian Burns had a HR & a double,and Jake Vavala & Dalton Goldberg each had a single. Nate Barone also scored. Winning pitchers were Heil, Burns & Dallas. For the A's Tim Harris & Casey Williams each scored and Shane Hetrick had a single.

5/10 - Orioles defeated the Red Sox 15-5:  The 2-0 Shults Chevrolet Orioles squared off against The 2-0 Vavala Concrete Red Sox Monday Night at LaGrega Field. The Orioles came away with 15-5 victory. The Orioles had 6 players with 2 hits each, J. Lloyd, J. Ferrari, C. Snyder, R. Joslyn, A. Bernard and M. Pascarella with Bernard and Snyder both doubling. Thomas Kosinski and Cameron Turner chipped in with line drive singles as well. Snyder, Ferrari, Lloyd and Joslyn once again shared the mound duties allowing 5 Red Sox hits and striking out 13. The Vavala Concrete Red Sox were led by Brian Burns and Dalton Goldberg's inside the park homerun blasts and Ben Brook's triple. Luke Heil, Brian Burns and Cody Dallas shared the pitching duties for the Sox striking out 13 in the hard faught game. The Shults Chevrolet Orioles move to 3-0 and the Vavala Concrete Red Sox slip to 2-1 in The SWAS Minor League Standings.

5/5 - Red Sox defeated the Yankees 12-1:  Chalk up another win for the Red Sox.  Starting on the mound for the Sox's was Luke Heil with 5K's and giving up 2 hits.  Finishing on the mound was Cody Dallas with 5K's and giving up 1 hit. At bat for the Red Sox's was Luke Heil hitting one single and one home run.  Brian Burns hit one single and one home run. Chase Stevenson going 2/3 singles and Eric Sandbloom hitting a single.  For the Yankees Jacob Gerace going 1/2 single, Michael Cammarata going 1/2 single, and Thomas Delahoy going 1/2 single.  What a great ball game!

5/3 - Red Sox defeated the A's 13-2:  The Red Sox's begin the season with a win over the A's.  Starting on the mound the Red Soxs was Luke Heil having 5 K's and giving up no hits.  Finishing on the mound was Brian Burns having 6K's and only giving up 2 hits.  The Red Sox's had some heavy hitter..B.Burns going 3/8 singles, D.Goldberg 2/3 singles, and B.Brooks 2/2 singles.  For the A's T.Harris went 1/2 single and S.Hetrick 1/2 singles.  Way to go boys!!
