6/11 - Sertoma defeated Cusimano's 10-6: Hot hitting
Sertoma defeated Cusimano Carstar 10-6. Jayden "Little Thunder"
Schultz and Drew Simmons each collected three hits to lead the
charge for Sertoma. "Downtown" Bradley Brown ripped a momentum
changing single to tie the game at 4 in the 4th inning. Noah
"Big Cat" Caruso put the game away with a bases clearing booming
triple an inning later. Tyrese Thompson ripped a triple to the
wall in a losing effort for the always scappy and fun loving
Cusimano team.
6/9 - VVA defeated Cusimano's 3-1:
It was a
pitching duel as VVA's Drew Boggs, James Rojas and Duel Card
tossed a no hitter. For Cusimano's Anthony Gullo, Mackenzie
Abbey, Tyrese Thompson and Jack Eimiller allowed only 1 hit.
That lone hit came at the hands of Drew Boggs. VVA now advances
to play for the Championship of the Lyle "Parky" Parkhurst
Tournament on Saturday at 5pm at Bergman Park.
6/5 - VVA defeated Cusimanos 8-4:
VVA improved their record
to 10-1 while clinching the 2010 Minors Division Championship of
Jamestown Babe Ruth with an 8-4 victory over Cusimano's
Collision. The pitching trio of Adam Kindberg, Drew Boggs and
Duel Card tossed a 1 hitter. The lone hit for Cusimano's was by
Dylan Hultberg. Duel Card hit an "inside the park" homerun for
VVA while Drew Boggs went 2 for 3 on the night.
6/4 - Peppy Dental defeated Cusimano's 12-8:
What a battle
at Roseland Park today both team had fun and played a great game
today.
5/29 - Jock Shop defeated Cusimano's 5-3:
Jock
Shop defeats Cusimano 5-3 with their players getting the bats
going. Top player for Jock Shop was Michael Andalora who had 1
hit, 2 RBI's, and awesome defense. Ben Smeltzer and Jay Delong
both had two hits and RBI's. Cusimano fought back after trailing
5-0 until the 3rd inning. Players of the game for Cusimano were
Anthony Gullo who had two hits, and Dylan Hurtlberg who had a
hit and an RBI.
5/24 - Cusimano's defeated Chautauqua Mechanical 4-3:
With
great pitching and awesome defense this game could have went
either way. Defense came into play in the last inning with Ryan
Holdridge on the mound and runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs-a
hot shot up the middle- was snagged up by him and the toss to
1st was complete giving Cusimano's their 1st victory of the
year. Mackenzie Abbey and Dylan Hultburg provided the hits for
the winners. While Richie Nance smacked a double and triple for
Chautauqua Mechanical.
5/20 - Chautauqua Mechanical defeated Cusimano's 12-5:
Noah
Turzillo went 3-3 with a triple. Bryce Jackson went 2-3 for
Chaut. Mech. Jacob Hnatyszyn went 2-3 for Cusimanos.
5/19 - Chautauqua Mechanical defeated Cusimanos 13-3:
Noah
Turzillo went 2-2 with a double and Ryan |Sandberg went 2-3 to
lead Chaut. Mech. Gavin Bowen went 2-3 and Ryan Holdridge ripped
a double to lead Cusimano's.
5/10 - Peppy Dental defeated Cusimanos 8-1: In the
bottom of the first inning, Noah Larson got on base and his
first RBI bringing Michael Peppy home, Christian Peterson
singles and gets his first RBI bringing in Jahdiel Rivera.In the
bottom of the third Jake Brown hits a single to third Noah
Larson gets walk and Christian Peterson single to left field and
bringing Noah Larson home for his second RBI of the game.Bottom
of the fourth Elijah Mcintosh,Jahdiel Rivera and Jake Brown get
walk on base.Noah Larson hits a double to left-center bringing
in three runs.To close the game,pitcher Quinn Ortiz makes the
out at first,gives one run to Cusimano,walks three,strike out
one and catcher Adam Caldwell gets the last out with a throw to
first.
5/6 - Peppy Dental defeated Cusimano's 9-3:
Peppy Dental's Michael Peppy, Jake Brown and Noah Larson scored
three runs in the first inning. In the top second, Matthew
Roehmholdt, Michael Peppy and Jahdiel Rivera scored three runs
for Peppy Dental, while in the bottom of the second, Jadiel
Rivera stuck out three for a quick close of the inning. In
the the top of the six, Michael Peppy, Jahdiel Rivera and Jake
brown scored three runs. Noah Larson stuck out two and
force the out on first base to close the game.
5/4 - Jock Shop defeated Cusimanos 13-3:
Outstanding
pitching by Andrew Pumford and Wilmari Guzman. Players of the
game for Jock Shop were Wilmari Guzman with a triple and a
single plus 4 RBI'S, and Ben Smeltzer with 2 hits. Players of
the game for Cusimano were Ryan Holdridge with 2 hits and Gavin
Bowen had a single.
5/1 - VVA defeated Cusimano's 7-3: Adam Kindberg led the
offensive charge for VVA going 2 for 3 with a double and a
triple, while Duel Card went 2 for three with a double. Cookie
Rojas, Duel Card and Drew Boggs held Cusimano's to two hits.
For Cusimano's, Ryan Holdridge had the two hits. Mackenzie
Abbey, Anthony Gullo and Holdridge handled the pitching duties,
limiting VVA to 4 hits.
4/29 - Jock Shop defeated Cusimanos 5-0:
Jock Shop wins over Cusimano 5-0 with their
whole team playing great defense.Player of
the game for Jock shop was Wilmari Guzman
who had 2 hits. Four players on Cusimano
each had singles.
4/27 - Sertoma defeated Cusimanos 5-3:
Sertoma topped a tough Cusimano Carstar team
5-3 in a tough pitcher's duel. Jon
Sandstrom, Jayden Schultz, and Noah Caruso
threw nothing but strikes in the frigid
April air while the Sertoma defense flashed
the leather to support their pitchers.
Christian Dolce gunned down a potential base
stealer from the catcher position and Jeff
Seager made a beautiful stop while playing
3rd base. Noah "Big Cat" Caruso provided
the offensive firepower for Sertoma with a
bases clearing 3 run triple. Anthony Gullo,
Ryan Holdridge and Tyresse Thompson matched
the Sertoma hurlers pitch for pitch all
night long. MacKenzie Abbey provided the
biggest hit of the night for Cusimano when
she lined an RBI single into center field to
briefly take the lead. Both teams played
extremely well on a freezing night and
provided the league with a great opening
game to the season.
