2009 JAMFL Parent Fund-raising Alert!!

Dear Spartans Parents:

 Even though Concession Stand sales have been good, we find that we need to raise more money for our end-of-season banquet.  We are contemplating doing some big fundraiser next year like all the Jamestown teams do, but this year we need focus on 2 fundraisers that are quick and easy.

Thanks to McDonalds, we have an opportunity to make $900.  On Tuesday, October 20^th from 4 – 7pm, there will be a Hotcake Dinner for the Spartans.  We are expecting each family to buy 4 tickets at $3.00 each.  We need you to pick up your tickets this Thursday or Friday evening from either Lisa/Jay Yaggie or Lisa Peterson.  The coaches will not have them.  You can turn around and sell them if you want to recoup your $12.  If you think you can sell more (we only have 300 tickets to sell) let one of us know and we can get you some.  The dinner is unlimited pancakes but you have to buy your own beverage(s) and pay for anything extra you’d want to order.

So this Thursday and Friday, pay $12 and get your 4 Hotcake Dinner tickets!

The second fundraiser we will be doing is a Basket Raffle at our banquet.  Some of the high school teams do this with great success.  To make this work each family is expected to donate 1 or 2 items that go along with one of the following themes:

1.   Game/Movie Night (movie passes, popcorn)

2.   Tailgate Party (snacks, cooler, etc.)

3.   It’s Amore – Italian (Spaghetti) Basket

4.   Taste of Jamestown (gift certificates, Johnny’s sauce, etc.)

5.   Friday Night Lights  (Football Related)

6.   Bob the Builder (tools – home improvement)

Give the item(s) to Jay/Lisa Yaggie or Lisa Peterson by October  17^th game.

 The end-of-season banquet will be on Sunday, November 8^th from 4 – 8pm and the invitations will be going out soon. 

Remember to get your Window Clings ($4), Car Magnets ($5)  and Dare To Be Great bracelets ($3.50) at the concession stand or from Jay/Lisa Yaggie or Lisa Peterson!  We will have them with us Thursday and Friday when you pick up your Hotcake Dinner tickets.
