10/24 - Bemus Point defeated
Sherman 20-18:
Bemus Point defeated
Sherman/Ripley 20-18 to take
third place in the
consolation round of the
playoffs. The Dragon
defense put together a goal
line stand to turn back the
Wild Eagles with less than
two minutes in regulation to
secure the win. Jed
Micek connected with Jonah
Tanner for a 49 yard
touchdown pass, while Graham
Nelson and Chad Klinginsmith
scored rushing touchdowns of
45 and 85 yards
respectively.
Sherman/Ripley's Andrew
Graham had an outstanding
day rushing, scoring
touchdowns from 52 yards and
65 yards.
10/17 - Chautauqua Lake
defeated Bemus 28-0:
The Chautauqua Lake
Thundercats earned a
convincing victory over the
Bemus Point Red Dragons 28-0
in first round playoff
action controlling both side
of the ball. For Chautauqua
Lake Donald Merritt led the
way rushing for 116 yards,
which included an 82 yard
touchdown run. Merritt also
had seven tackles on
defense. Ryan Miller rushed
for 83 yards with two
scores. Kyle Mayer rounded
out the scoring for
Chautauqua Lake with a 10-
yard boot-leg. Mayer also
completed an extra point
pass to Ian Clute and ran in
an extra point. On defense
for Chautauqua Lake Joshua
Bradford had seven tackles,
Ryan Linnecke and Alex
Disbro both had six tackles
and Ryan Stewart added six
with two sacks. For
Bemus Point Chad
Klinginsmith rushed for 73
yards and Jonah Tanner was 2
for five passing for 46
yards. On defense Graham
Nelson led the way with
seven tackles. Jed Micek and
Howie Nolan both had fumble
recoveries. Up next
for Chautauqua Lake is the
Panama Panthers for the
Lakeshore Midget Football
Championship.
10/10 - Bemus Point defeated
Brocton 26-0:
Jonah Tanner's interception
return for a touchdown and
rushing touchdown led Bemus
Point to a shutout victory
over Broctom 26-0.
Andy Farnham and Jed Micek
also scored for the Dragons
who were led on defense by
Nolan Knipe, Corey
Pietrocarlo, Mitchel
Sandberg, and TJ Bihler.
10/3 - Panama defeated Bemus
Point 22-6:
The Panama Panther varsity
squad improved their record
to 4-1 on the season with a
solid win against the Bemus
Point Dragons. Stellar line
play on both sides of the
ball highlighted the Panther
victory today. Dan
O'Dell toted the rock for
107 yards and two rushing
TD's for the Panthers, while
Greg Delahoy added a TD and
Eric Schutt scored both
extra points. Garrett
McAfoose led the defensive
charge with an interception
and a fumble recovery.
Steven Enlow blocked a Bemus
Point and along with Michael
Rensel and Dillon Mescall,
led the Panthers in tackles.
For Bemus, Jonah Tanner
scored the lone touchdown
while Andy Farnham and Nolan
Knite led the defense in
tackles.
9/26 - Bemus defeated
Sherman 28-14:
Mitchell Sandberg's 42 yard
interception return for a
touchdown and Jed Micek's 2
yard interception return for
a touchdown highlighted a
28-14 win over Sherman in
LSMFL varsity action.
Rushing touchdowns from
Micek and Chad Klingensmith
accounted for the rest of
the Dragon scoring. Nolan
Knipe, Andrew Farnham, Corey
Pietrocarlo, Jonah Tanner,
and Ben Richard led the
defensive attack for Bemus
Point. Andrew Graham
and Nick Sjaden scored for
Sherman while Chris Greiner
led the Wild eagles in
tackles.
9/12 - Frewsburg defeated
Bemus 26-12:
Saturday at Frewsburg the
Bears came out strong. Nick
Long had 3 touchdown runs of
37, 57 and a 60 yard run and
finished the game with 175
yards for the day. Kevin
Rogers had a 52 yard run to
pay dirt. Bryce Peterson
ran in a 2 point
conversion. Paul Mole lead
the defense with 8 tackels
and 2 sacks. Devin Haskins
and Rogers both had 7
tackles. Dane Johnson,
Peterson and Long had 5
tackles each. For Bemus,
Jed Micek found paydirt on a
4 yard run. Graham Nelson
caught a 5 yard pass for a
touchdown from Jonah
Tanner. Andy Fornham and
Micek both recovered a
fumble for Bemus.

9/5 - Bemus Point defeated
Westfield 22-6:
Graham Nelson's 68 yard
touchdown run and Chad
Klinginsmith's two rushing
touchdowns led the Bemus
Point varsity to a 22-6 win
over Westfield in LSMFL
action. Andy Farnham,
Corey Pietrocarlo, Howie
Nolan, and Jonah Tanner led
a Dragon defense that had
seven sacks. Jed Micek and
Kyle Richardson each had
interceptions for Bemus
Point. Dylan MacCubbin
scored on a one-yard
touchdown run in the second
half for Westfield.
8/30 - Bemus Point defeated
Chautauqua Lake 14-12:
Chad Klinginsmith's rushing touchdown and
conversion in overtime secured the win as
Bemus Point narrowly defeated Chauatauqua
Lake in LSMFL Varsity action.
Klinginsmith led the Dragons with 125 yards
rushing and Nolan Knipe recovered a fumble
for Bemus Point. Chauataqua Lake
opened the scoring in the first half by
taking advantage of a blocked punt and
punching it from the two yard line. Bemus
Point countered with a touchdown from
Klinginsmith in the second half to send the
game to overtime. |
