10/31 - North defeated South 24-18: There was about 6 inches of
mud at mid field during the
2009 LSMFL All-Star game at
Panama Central School.
That did not stop these
great players from playing
great football. Both
teams played well despite
the sloppy conditions.

10/31 - South
JVs defeated North JVs 14-6:
The game
was scoreless through three quarters. Garret Owens 45 yard run set
up Joey Quagliano's 12 yard touchdown scamper to put the North in
the lead. On the next drive, Chris Blose tied the game with a 50
yard touchdown run. His conversion gave the South squad the lead.
Brody Nolan forced a fumble recovered by Hunter Whippo to end a
potential North scoring drive. The South's Ryan Applebee 32 yard
touchdown run on a reverse completed the scoring. The South's
Kass Howard and Trevor Micek recovered fumbles while Cordell O'brien
grabbed an interception. Nick Hudson had a fumble revovery for the
North.

Chautauqua Lake Wins 2009 LSMFL Championship
10/24 - Chautauqua Lake
defeated Panama 14-0:
The Chautauqua Lake
Thundercats defeated the
Panama Panthers 14-0 to
capture the Varsity
Lakeshore Midget Football
crown. The game was a
defensive battle with both
of Chautauqua Lake’s
touchdowns coming in the
second half of the game.
Donald Merritt opened up the
scoring for Chautauqua Lake
with a 6 yard touchdown run,
Merritt also had a fumble
recovery on defense. Ryan
Miller added Chautauqua
Lakes second touchdown on a
54 yard touchdown run with
Kyle Mayer rushing for the
extra point. Miller finished
the night with 83 yards
rushing. Defensively for
Chautauqua Lake Josh
Bradford and James Latimer
led the way with 10 tackles
each. Next was Ian Clute
with 8, Ryan Linnecke,
Bradley Lawson, Chandler
Baker and Kyle Mayer with 6.
For Panama Dan Odell was the
leading rusher with 69
yards. Defensively for
Panama Garrett McAfoose had
6 tackles, Stephen Enlow had
5 and Dillon Mescall had 4.
Ricky Eddy also had a fumble
recovery.

10/24 - Bemus Point JVs tied
Frewsburg JVs 8-8:
Bemus Point and Frewsburg
battled to an 8-8 tie on
Saturday afternoon in the
junior varsity championship
game. Each team was
declared co-champions.
Christian Proctor's 66 yard
touchdown run in the fourth
quarter set up his two point
toss to Hunter Whippo to
preserve the tie. In
the previous series, Bemus
Point's Kass Howard forced a
fumble recovered by Michael
Welsh. Four plays later,
Bradley Bihler scored on a
four yard run. AJ Putt
provided the conversion.
Stout defensive efforts were
provided by both teams.
Matt Hair, Josh Watson,
Clark Wiltsie, and Whippo
led the Bears. Trevor Micek,
Brody Nolan, Bradley Benson,
and Howard were tackling
leaders for the Dragons.
Bihler also recovered a
fumble for Bemus Point.
10/24 - Bemus Point defeated
Sherman 20-18:
Bemus Point defeated
Sherman/Ripley 20-18 to take
third place in the
consolation round of the
playoffs. The Dragon
defense put together a goal
line stand to turn back the
Wild Eagles with less than
two minutes in regulation to
secure the win. Jed
Micek connected with Jonah
Tanner for a 49 yard
touchdown pass, while Graham
Nelson and Chad Klinginsmith
scored rushing touchdowns of
45 and 85 yards
respectively.
Sherman/Ripley's Andrew
Graham had an outstanding
day rushing, scoring
touchdowns from 52 yards and
65 yards.

10/17 - Frewsburg defeated
Westfield 34-12:
Nick Long scored 2
touchdowns on runs of 22
yrds and 47 yrds to pay
dirt. Bryce Peterson scored
a 6 yard run. Dylan Owmbey
had a 9 yard touchdown run.
Triston Johnson scored on a
52 yard run. Josh Nelson
thru 2 PAT's, one to Kevin
Rogers and one to Peterson.
For Westfield Dylan
MacCubbin had 2 touchdown
passes, one for 72 yards to
Devin Emerson, and one for
20 yards to AJ Hulton.
Defense for the Bears was
led by Long with 7 tackles.
Collin Anderson with 6
tackles and Caleb Eckman
with 6 tackles. Defense for
Westfield was Hulton,
MacCubbin and Emerson
10/17 - Frewsburg JVs
defeated Sherman JVs 20-14:
Cordell O'Brien raced for 3
touchdowns and one extra
oint to lead the Frewsburg
Bears to a hard fought 20 to
14 win over Sherman.
Outstanding play also came
from Josh Fisher, Clarke
Wiltsie, Christian Proctor
and Matt Hair. Sherman's
Garret Owen had another
steller day running the ball
scoring both touchdowns for
Sherman. Aaron Swan led the
Sherman defense. Frewsburg
will play Bemus Point on
Saturday for the
Championship.
10/17 - Chautauqua Lake
defeated Bemus 28-0:
The Chautauqua Lake
Thundercats earned a
convincing victory over the
Bemus Point Red Dragons 28-0
in first round playoff
action controlling both side
of the ball. For Chautauqua
Lake Donald Merritt led the
way rushing for 116 yards,
which included an 82 yard
touchdown run. Merritt also
had seven tackles on
defense. Ryan Miller rushed
for 83 yards with two
scores. Kyle Mayer rounded
out the scoring for
Chautauqua Lake with a 10-
yard boot-leg. Mayer also
completed an extra point
pass to Ian Clute and ran in
an extra point. On defense
for Chautauqua Lake Joshua
Bradford had seven tackles,
Ryan Linnecke and Alex
Disbro both had six tackles
and Ryan Stewart added six
with two sacks. For
Bemus Point Chad
Klinginsmith rushed for 73
yards and Jonah Tanner was 2
for five passing for 46
yards. On defense Graham
Nelson led the way with
seven tackles. Jed Micek and
Howie Nolan both had fumble
recoveries. Up next
for Chautauqua Lake is the
Panama Panthers for the
Lakeshore Midget Football
Championship.
10/17 - Bemus JVs defeated
Panama JVs 6-0:
Bradley Bihler's eight yard
touchdown run in overtime
lifted Bemus Point to a
hard-fought 6-0 win over
Panama in semi-final playoff
action. Trevor Micek led
the Dragons with 12 tackles
as they posted their first
shutout of the season. Kass
Howard recorded a fumble
recovery to end a Panama
drive. A stout Panama
defense led by Nathan Stow,
Garrett Goldberg, and Ryan
Applebee held the Dragons to
109 yards rushing.
10/17 - Panama defeated
Sherman 14-6:
The Panama Panther Varsity
squad moved into the
Championship game next
weekend by beating Sherman
14-6 on Saturday 10/17. For
the Panthers, David O'Dell
led the ground attack with
115 yards and 2 Touchdowns.
Defensively, Steven Enlow
and Garrett McAfoose led the
Panther tacklers, Greg
Delahoy and Pat Radka each
had 1 interception and Mike
Rensel recovered 3 Sherman
fumbles. For Sherman, Reed
Coccarelli and Nick Sjoben
combined to block a Panther
punt which Steven Wheeler
recovered for a Touchdown.
Chris Greiner and Devin
Moorehead each contributed 7
tackles for Sherman.

10/10 - Frewsburg JVs
defeated Chautauqua Lake JVs
18-6:
10/10 - Sherman JVs defeated
Panama JVs 12-0:
Sherman Ripley Wild Eagles
JV improved their record
with a 12-0 win over panama.
Sherman was lead by Arron
Swan with a touchdown. The
defensive standout was
Garrett Owens with an
interception for a
touchdown. Panama was lead
by Chris Blose and Nathan
Stow on offense.The
defensive standouts were
Garrett Goldberg and Josh
Eddy.
10/10 - Frewsburg defeated
Chautauqua Lake 28-26:
The Frewsburg Bears beat the
Chautauqua Lake Thunder Cats
28-26 in overtime. Nick
Long rushed for 136 yards
and had 3 touchdowns. Long
had a 3 yard run and a 45
yard run to pay dirt late in
the 4th quarter to tie the
game 20-20. Go ahead PAT
failed. Long's third
touchdown came in the first
play of overtime. Long hit
pay dirt on a 10 yard run,
and ran in the PAT to put
the Bears ahead 28-20. Also
for the Bears, Kevin Rogers
had an eight yard run and
ran in a PAT. Rogers
finished with 70 yards
rushing for the night. The
Thunder Cats offense was led
by Ryan Miller with 3
touchdowns and 93 yards
rushing. Miller had
touchdown runs of 30 yards,
8 yards and a 6 yard run on
fourth down in overtime to
put the Thunder Cats within
2. Frewsburg stopped the
PAT to win 28-26. Kyle
Mayer had a 30 yard touch
down run and ran in a point
after. The Bears Defense
was led by Collin Anderson
and Adam Apperson with 9
tackles each. Long and
Rogers both had 8 tackles
each. Defensively for the
Thunder Cats, James Latimer
had 11 tackles. Ian Clute
had 8 tackles, and Brad
Lawson had 5 tackles.
10/10 - Sherman defeated
Panama 18-0:
Sherman Ripley wildeagles
defeated Panama 18 to 0 on a
sunny saturday afternoon.
Andrew Graham for the
wildeagles rushed for 2
touchdowns and 94 yards
total on the ground.
Teammate Nick Sjoden threw
one touchdown pass to Devin
Moorhead for 21 Yards. On
the defense side for the
wildeagles Chris Greiner had
12 tackles , Andrew Graham
made 7 tackles. Nick Sjoden
had 1 sack and Aarien
Carvello had 3 sacks for the
wildeagles. For Panama Dan
O'dell had 40 yards rushing
and Dillon Mescall had a 40
yard catch. For defense on
the Panama side the
standouts were Mike Rensel,
Steve Enlow, Garrett
McAfoose and Dillon Mescall
had 1 sack.
10/10 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Brocton JVs 32-8:
Bemus Point defeated Brocton
32-6. Simon Olson, Bradley
Benson, Trevor Micek, and
Michael Welsh all rushed for
scores for the Dragons.
Welsh also connected with AJ
Putt for a 65 yard touchdown
pass. Leading tacklers
for Bemus Point's defense
included Kass Howard,
Bradley Bihler, Michael
Derby, and Micek. Nash
Nelson intercepted a fourth
quarter pass to end a
Bulldog drive.
Brocton's Steven Krystofiak
hit Derek Walter for a 60
yard touchdown in the first
half.
10/10 - Bemus Point defeated
Brocton 26-0:
Jonah Tanner's interception
return for a touchdown and
rushing touchdown led Bemus
Point to a shutout victory
over Broctom 26-0.
Andy Farnham and Jed Micek
also scored for the Dragons
who were led on defense by
Nolan Knipe, Corey
Pietrocarlo, Mitchel
Sandberg, and TJ Bihler.
Saturday Football
10/3 - Frewsburg defeated
Brocton 44-0:
Frewsburg beat Brocton forty
four to zero. Tristian
Johnson scored two
touchdowns. Josh Nelson had
a fifteen yard pass to
Derick Smith for a
touchdown. Bryce Peterson,
Dylon Ownbey, Devin Haskins,
Caleb Eckman all scored one
touchdown. Brady Collver
ran in a pat. Adam Apperson,
Haskins, Eckman were the
standouts for Frewsburg on
defense.
10/3 - Chautauqua Lake
defeated Westfield 24-0:
The Chautauqua Lake
Thundercats defeated the
Westfield Golden Hawks with
a stellar defensive effort
to put them all alone in
first place in their
division. Offensively
the Thundercats were led by
Ryan Miller who rushed for
97 yards and two scores on 5
carries with Donald Merritt
contributing offensively
with 89 yards and one score
on three carries. Kyle Mayer
scored the Thundercats other
touchdown on a five-yard
carry and also had an
interception. Defensively
for the Thundercats Joshua
Bradford had eleven tackles,
Ian Clute had nine tackles
with two sacks and a fumble
recovery. Tyler Furlow
kicked in with eight tackles
and Ryan Stewart caused
havoc in the Golden Hawks
backfield all night with
five tackles and four sacks.
For the Golden Hawks AJ
Hulton ran the ball hard all
night. Hulton gained a tough
91 yards on 17 carries.
Defensively for the Golden
Hawks Steven Demarco had
seven tackles, Dameon Raynor
had six and Dillon Mcubbin
had five.

10/3 - Frewsburg JVs
defeated Brocton JVs 34-8:
Christian Proctor led the
Bears with 2 rushing
touchdowns and a 72 yard TD
pass to Cordell OBrien.
Micah Riolo scored on a long
run and Alex McCreary scored
his first career touchdown.
Hunter Whippo, Clarke
Wiltsie and Proctor led the
defense for the
Bears.Garrett McFadden and
kole Wisecarver had a strong
game for Brocton.
10/3 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Panama JVs 14-6:
Simon Olson's 62 yard run
set up AJ Putt's one yard
score in the second half to
lift Bemus Point over Panama
14-6. Bradley Bihler
opened the scoring for Bemus
Point with a 2 yard
touchdown run, while
Panama's Chris Blose
countered with a 63 yard
rushing touchdown.
Trevor Micek led the
Dragons' defense in tackles
and Michael Welsh ended a
fourth quarter Panama drive
with an interception.

10/3 - Panama defeated Bemus
Point 22-6:
The Panama Panther varsity
squad improved their record
to 4-1 on the season with a
solid win against the Bemus
Point Dragons. Stellar line
play on both sides of the
ball highlighted the Panther
victory today. Dan
O'Dell toted the rock for
107 yards and two rushing
TD's for the Panthers, while
Greg Delahoy added a TD and
Eric Schutt scored both
extra points. Garrett
McAfoose led the defensive
charge with an interception
and a fumble recovery.
Steven Enlow blocked a Bemus
Point and along with Michael
Rensel and Dillon Mescall,
led the Panthers in tackles.
For Bemus, Jonah Tanner
scored the lone touchdown
while Andy Farnham and Nolan
Knite led the defense in
tackles.
